look... all i was doing was making observations.. and seeing if i was the only one who noticed this. I havent been to any shows, i'm no guru... i'm still earning, and quite fast i might add. If you [general you, you being "all".. as in if i were infront of a group of people and said "you all") don't agree with my observations.. you have the choice to respond, or not respond. you responded...Some people tried to flame me because they took my intentions wrong, some disagreed, and some went out of their way to help me out with the other facets of my rant, like hornsby's singing. bottom line is i still -know- bobby sings flat a lot, i know he's got that hollow stare:

http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0002SPPRI.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

tell me that is not a hollow stare? To further my observation.. if you listen to the Q&A part of the DVD Ticket To New Year's.. one person says the same thing too, and everyone agrees!

I don't have any tangible person to discuss dead with.. so this thread was simply me relaying my thoughts out to people. The fact remains I love bobby's voice, i love his growls, and i love his guitar skills.

Max - a simple question: In the scheme of things....what does Bobby's facial expressions (stare) have to do with anything constuctive or meaningful??

kimbajed: What does any type of observation have to do with anything constructive or meaningful? Why analyze? Screw psychology. Ever heard of the quote "I think, therefore I am"? It was said by the 17th century philosopher and mathematician Rene Descartes. It is an "explanation for everything." Now I told you.. I said it because it was my observation, some of you will agree, disagree, decline to comment, or as some did, even go so far as to help me out in other facets that poured out the my post.

see.. tigerbolt just helped me out

tigerbolt: Thank you.. i was wondering if Bobby had ingested a lot of lsd.. I was just kind of confused because I would have thought the older people in the band would ingested more.. but Jerry or any of the members don't have that look in their eyes. Perhaps it was because Bobby was the youngest, and affected his developing brain the most?

See kimbajed.. this is what my thread was constructed for. Discussion of course :) Even though yours and some other people's may not be positive though, I still deem it to be discussion.

OK then....here's a little more advice to help you:

It's always cool to say your piece about issues concerning the GD, but a measure of respect for the bandmembers is always a good idea, especially when being critical. Check the "tone" of your original post and you'll see why myself and others took exception. That's all..

Best of luck with your musical career

there was no noticeable measure of disrepect in his post. many others have come across far worse. plus, he is pretty much right.

time to chill on this. it might be a good idea to go through your prior posts (if any) and make sure you never said anything that "might" be construed in a "different" manner. then i'll rip you a new one like youv'e been trying to rip him. trust me my friend, im much better at "ripping" than you. time to shut up please.

yo kimba - head back to the delusional jungle - no band is perfect nor is any artist.

wasn't kimba the little cute white tiger in some afternoon cartoon when i was a kid??? how cute. i'm not sure his claws were big enough though....

dw - Thanks for setting me straight on the perfect/imperfect thing regarding bands - and well-crafted I might add! Of course you are the self-annointed superior wordsmith.

Being the true DH that you are I'm certain that you recognized the "omnipotent" quote and took it for how it was intended and yes - Kimba the White Lion was the cartoon. I was called that for years.

"Saint Stephen!"

conan rules - hilarious show - and i'm sitting here watching a depressing CSI (of course, that is just to drool over Jorja Fox)

sorry for ruining the fun. damn, i swear i must have gotten neutered without knowing it sometime over the past month. how disconcerting. damn friggin claws keep retracting at the most inopportune times - lol.

dw - my compliments on "lightening up" the tone on a DH brother.

My dad read Rudyard Kipling's "Kim", gave me the name, then split when I was five. When Johnny Cash broke out with "A Boy Named Sue" he was tellin my story!

i just wanted the whole thread to lighten up (to the chagrin of some people who are used to me tearing out people's throats - lol). Max is cool, and i thought he was getting treatment that was a bit harsh. Thanks for going along with lightening things up a bit.

interesting story - sorry about your dad splitting - that is rough, real rough (i would assume). thankfully i'm still really really close to my two little kids, even though i am not at "home." (actually just 6 miles down the street - makes it pretty easy).

Very very true - i promised myself that would be the case no matter what else happened. They stay with me every other weekend and two overnights during every "weekday week". so yeah, i have them alot. wouldn't trade that for the world.

Glad you have come to peace with your situation man. That is not easy at all i would imagine. Actually, i can't imagine - but i am glad for ya. peace

lol - took me quite a while to jump in after reading it all day - but like mcglone said "All's well that ends well" (a great Shakespeare play, i might add - one of my favs). not quite as good as "much ado about nothing" - but that would fit also.

I'm off to nitey-nite-land to rest my weary bones. nite all - cya tomorrow!

Kimbajed: Umm I don't know about tofu eating..... :P

But nah direwolf and kimba.. i know it was pretty much derogatory... if you go thru my posts in this thread, you will see how i acknowledged this earlier on. I re-read my initial post a while back, and saw how it could be taken as just straight up bashing, especially if you have selective reading and omit the parts where i praise bobby. Odd thread here.. didn't mean to provoke drama.. oh well. whoever said "all is well that end's well" pretty much summed it up.

P.S. Kimbajed: to mock you...

"Do you feel you are being exploited?"

:) i love that segment. I often wonder how he felt when he bought the DVD and saw himself in it

the hollow stare is just the byproduct of a lot of induced lsd.have a lot of old tour buddies that have the same look.buy the ticket, take the ride.
